A breathtaking rectangular-cut 14.23-carat diamond with magic shades of intense pink was auctioned at Christie’s Hong Kong saleroom and sold to an anonymous bidder for no less than $23.2 million. The price transformed the so-called Perfect Pink in the most expensive jewel ever sold at an auction in Asia.
The flawless jewel consists of 3 diamonds mounted on a 18k white and rose gold beautifully crafted ring. Note that only 10% of pink diamonds weight over 0.20 carats, while two of the diamonds that flank the ring weight 1.73 carats and respectively 1.67 carats.
