The Italian boats manufacturer Maxi Dolphin managed to come up with the latest concept in terms of materials and efficiency in order to obtain a pleasant and safe sensation while cruising with 70 km/h ( 38 knots ) . Designed by Roberto Starkel, Maxi Dolphin MD 51 is not only a powerful boat with two engines which gather 870 horsepower but is also a very stylish and good looking motor boat that can easily be compared to a floating Lamborghini or Ferrari.
Constructed mainly out of composite materials, this “Italian Stalion” of the seas weights only 10,500 kg and is able to guest 12 persons. Being the owner of a Maxi Dolphin MD 51 it’s not going to be cheap at all considering the acquisition price of 1,4 million $. Russian luxury market offers a starting price of 1,45 million euro for a brand new Maxi Dolphin MD 51 but before buying an expensive motor boat you must take into consideration future costs such as parking taxes, fuel consumption or annual engine revisions. Maxi Dolphin MD 51 targets the superrich people and this is why interiors can be modified as the client whishes, in order to fit his best interest with high quality materials and accessories. Maxi Dolphin manager explains that MD 51 is especially conceived with 2 Volvo IPS 600 engines that can offer an impressive acceleration and speed but also low fuel consumption ( 100 l / h ) when traveling at the cruising range ( 30 knots )
